This week sees the relaunch of Ele Friends, the peer mental health support community from Mind.
The site started from a Facebook campaign that allowed you tag empty spaces in your photos as the “Elephant in the room”, which is the issue of mental health. As time went on, those who had befriended the Elephant started posting about how they were feeling that day, and supporting each other.
It’s now at the point so many people want to support each other online that the new platform is being launched.
And it’s the future – people want to help each other, people want to connect with others online. It’s charities like Mind who are creating the infrastructure that allows it to happen.
How could your charity support its clients online?
DISCLAIMER – I worked with Mind on setting up the new Ele Friends platform. But I still think all these things.
